• Wenger Tips Senderos To Be A Success: The Swiss centre back arrives at San Siro on a one year loan deal, and Milan have the option to make the move permanent for a set fee next summer. Senderos had been well down the pecking order at Arsenal following an error-prone season last term, and Wenger signalled his intention to let him leave after signing Manchester United?s Mickael Silvestre last week. The 23-year-old has long been painted by fans and the press as something of a liability, but Wenger believes that he will have a successful career, be it at Milan, or at Arsenal if he returns after his loan spell. ?He was not disappointing, ? Wenger is quoted as saying by Arsenal.com.
• Reports: Oddo Signs For Lyon: Right full-back Oddo has been heavily linked with an exit from Milan in the past week or so as he is currently well down the Rossonero pecking order, behind both Daniele Bonera and new signing Gianluca Zambrotta. L?Equipe is just one of a host of publications, both in France and Italy, to claim that a deal has been struck which will see Oddo join Lyon on a one-year loan, with the option of making the move permanent next summer. The 32-year-old, who will be a replacement for the injured Francois Clerc, will undergo a medical at the Stade Gerland any time now, while Milan are expected to officially announce the transfer within the next few hours. Oddo had a miserable 2007/08 season with the Rossoneri. He was dreadfully poor in the first half of the campaign, before he had an upturn in fortunes at the beginning of 2008.
• I Would Never Have Signed Sheva - Costacurta: Sheva returned back to the scene where he enjoyed most of his successful playing career this week after a turbulent passage from Chelsea. Fans and players were delighted upon hearing the news but it has not gone down with Costacurta, who made 458 appearances for the Rossoneri between 1987 and 2007. ?Sheva? I wouldn?t have signed him for Milan,? Costacurta told Sky Sport Italia. ?There are two important strikers there like Pato and Borriello and he (Sheva) could create some turbulence. ?No, if it was down to me I would not have resigned him at all.?
• Paloschi At Parma To Grow: The 18-year-old forward moved to Parma in a co-ownership deal from Milan yesterday and believes that the move is for the good of his career. "At Milan, there was not much room for me. In Parma I will have the chance to play and grow," explained the young Italian. Milan had stated earlier in the summer they would not be releasing Paloschi after offers from both Reggina and Torino. However, the recent return of Andrei Shevchenko to Milan clearly seems to have changed that situation.
• Bayern Hijack Oddo's Move To Lyon?: Oddo looked set to be on his way to join compatriot Fabio Grosso in the French league at Olympique Lyon, but now he could be joining Luca Toni in Germany instead. Milan president Adriano Galliani recently announced that the club is looking to trim down their squad after the arrivals of Andriy Shevchenko and Philippe Senderos, and that Oddo could be one of the players leaving. Bayern Munich were interested in the player at the beginning of the summer and proposed a swap deal that would involve French international Willy Sagnol moving to Milan. Now it seems that Bayern are acting on their interest in Oddo once again before the transfer window closes. It appears the Bavarians are not finished reinforcing their side as they return make their return to the Champions League this season.
• Brocchi To Lazio Almost Done - Agent: After successful negotiations between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and Brocchi's agent Davide Lippi, the defensive midfielder is on his way to Lazio just in time for the upcoming campaign. Brocchi had been rotated in and out of the squad at Milan in recent seasons, and he faces stiff competition at the Rossoneri from the likes of Massimo Ambrosini, Gennaro Gattuso, Emerson and former Arsenal player Mathieu Flamini.
